Abstract This paper uses the HotDisk thermal analyzer to conduct an experimental study on the measurement of thermal conductivity of materials. By measuring the thermal conductivity of stainless steel standard parts, ice and porous media, it is proved that the analytical instrument can adapt to the thermal physical properties of different materials. The maximum relative error between the measurement result of ice and the literature value is only 0.324%, and the measurement result of the stainless steel standard is consistent with the standard value, which is 14.07W / mK at room temperature (22ºC). The measurement results of the effective thermal conductivity of saturated porous media composed of building sand and air, water and ice show that the particle size of the sand has a great influence on the effective thermal conductivity of the material, which is mainly caused by contact thermal resistance and continuous phase The result of the interaction of relative volume size.
