2. Process improvement
The customer's variability is generally reflected in the change in the hue, quality, and price of the ink, because most printing companies do not change the type of ink they use. Some changes in the type of printing ink will also directly involve changes in the printing machinery, so most of the customer's requirement is that the hue change should be adapted to the customer's requirements. This is also the requirement of the printing company's customers for the printing company.
When the competition was not intense before, it may not be noticed by some people because the masters of the printing factories will adjust their hue for printing. But now that there are more choices, I think this little matter will become the key to a business competition.
However, the old ink production process is generally a fixed recipe for each color. There are more than a dozen kinds of red, there are more than a dozen kinds of blue, there are five or sixty kinds of various colors, and there are more than one hundred kinds. A medium-sized company is simply not possible, and it is not necessary to use a sand mill for each color. Therefore, the car wash water at the time of color change becomes a big problem. In the same color rushed in, it is necessary to wait for the next time, that is, fifty colors will appear two barrels (this is the least case) with a total of 40 kilograms of car wash water, and fifty kinds are about two tons of car wash water. For a large company, this may not be a big deal, but a small company is a burden.
Another problem is that companies have so many colors and there is a problem without reasonable inventory. Although the requirements for each color can be grasped by the company and can be reasonably controlled, the companies are changing. Our customers can't be fixed, so some inks will suddenly appear out of stock. Once the customer can't get the ink needed for production, he or she will think of another way. This will be taken advantage of by other manufacturers. When you have enough of this customer list, your goods will become real inventory. More than a dozen tons of goods are stacked there, and only one or two barrels are sold each month. I do not know whether they will be sold to the monkeys. The most important thing is that the ink products have a quality validity period. If they expire, they will not be sold. Loss can be no small. I have encountered this kind of thing several times. Every time I feel very passive, sometimes it is obviously common toner. The color is also similar to the common color, but the customer does not recognize it. In the end, we still pay the bill.
So a new production process that can reduce our losses due to unforeseen mistakes is very necessary for the companies that produce inks.
From years of practical experience, I feel that a single-color ink printing process is worthy of discussion with everyone.
Monochromatic color paste method, a simple point is to make their own ink for the factory's color paste, and then use a single color ink into a finished ink.
First of all, select some of the commonly used pigments in the formulation to be wetted with a suitable resin solution. The content of toner is about 25%. After dispersing and wetting to meet the requirements, it will enter the sand mill, grind it into a color paste, reach a certain fineness, and then filter it until it is stored. Cans (storage tanks should be suitable, with some stainless steel tanks and the like, but must be sealed and easy to remove) conventional varieties such as white ink, black ink, etc. can be directly into the condiment cylinder to modulate the ink products, unconventional Variety can be stored in a single color, so that the use of commonly used toner is less than 25 kinds, will reduce the amount of car wash water, but also conducive to the control of inventory ink, because a color paste will be used in multiple colors, three colors Pulp may be able to spell out hundreds of different shades of color and greatly increase the customer's adaptability.
I once had a practical experience. Once a customer asked to adjust a special red color. After reading it, the preliminary estimate was made by using 3132 big red powder, Fast Red BBN and Fast Red BBC. I was using color paste at the time, and another colleague was using toner. I changed the color after ten minutes, but within ten minutes, the other person finished weighing toner solution and solvent. I started to disperse the paint quickly. After half an hour I had used my formula to get the ink out. But it was a quick hand to stop to see the hue. It took about one day to open the bill and feed it to the finished product. Color paste method can really save customers a day, then the customer's trust in you will be enhanced, when supplied, such customers are less likely to be snatched by opponents. In addition, due to the convenience of the color paste production, even if customers only need a small amount of special color ink, we can provide it without increasing the extra cost of the customer. If you use a quantitative formulation of the old process, I think if you produce a bucket of 15 kg or 18 kg of spot color ink, your cost will increase a lot, because the mechanical loss and labor costs for the production of 15 kg and the production of 150 kg of product cost changes It is not very big. I believe that people in the industry are very clear about this issue, especially if it is not equipped with small-scale, micro-system equipment. This problem will be even more serious.
