Domestic use of fine chemicals for papermaking

Main varieties The main varieties of papermaking fine chemicals commonly used in domestic paper mills are classified into four categories according to their use in the papermaking process:
1. Pulping chemicals (1) cooking aids - hydrazine.
(2) Waste paper deinking agent - compounded by a variety of surfactants.
2. Papermaking process additives (1) Retention agents - cationic starch, polyacrylamide, anionic starch; multiple retention system.
(2) Defoamers - silicone type, polyether type, or fatty amide type surfactants.
(3) Preservatives - organic sulfur, organic halides.
(4) Flocculants - polyaluminum chloride, sodium polyacrylate, polyacrylamide and modified products thereof.
(5) resin barrier control agent - cationic polyamide.
(6) Fibrous Dispersant - Polyethylene oxide.
3. Functional Additives (1) Internal sizing agent - used for acid papermaking (pH<7): saponified rosin, fortified rosin, rosin gum, cationic rosin gum;
- For neutral papermaking (pH>7): AKD, neutral rosin gum, SR.
(2) Dry enhancer - cationic starch, polyacrylamide, amphoteric starch, multi-modified starch.
(3) Wet enhancer - melamine formaldehyde resin, polyamide epichlorohydrin resin.
(4) surface sizing agent - polyvinyl alcohol, oxidized starch, cationic starch, styrene - maleic anhydride copolymer.
4. Chemicals for coated paper (1) Coated adhesives (adhesives) - carboxylated styrene-butadiene rubber, starch phosphate ester, vinegar-propylene copolymer emulsion, benzene-propylene copolymer emulsion.
(2) Printability improvers - cationic or amphoteric water-soluble polymers.
(3) Pigment dispersant - sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium polyacrylate, copolymer of sodium acrylate and acrylamide.
(4) Lubricant - calcium stearate dispersion (emulsion).
(5) Water-repellent agent - low-formaldehyde melamine urea-formaldehyde resin, modified melamine resin.
(6) Defoamers - polyethers, amides.
