In 2008, Weilin Wood's overseas mining company discovered the wood during its gold mining and introduced it into the country.

When the material was sent to the national authoritative timber appraisal agency for identification, the appraisal agency could not produce an accurate appraisal report because it could not find a similar comparison sample in the specimen bank. The density, color and pattern of this material are very high quality, and resemble fragrant wood (huanghua pear) in appearance and shape, and many indicators are close to the fragrant Dalbergia (Hainan huanghuali), so it is called by market participants. For the "big leaf yellow pear". Although it is impossible to produce an accurate report, in the appraisal report of the relevant department, this material was highly evaluated, and it is considered to be “a substitute for huanghuali” and a good material for making high-grade classical furniture.

Even some newly discovered materials may be superior to the national standard mahogany in terms of price/performance ratio.
