A seed capsule is placed at the end of the pencil. Once the pencil is not available, the seed capsule can be implanted in the soil and water can be used to grow the herb and vegetable garden. It is reported that "Sprout Green Pencil" is divided into more than 20 types, including: mint, tomato, pepper, basil and rosemary.
There are 3 identical seeds in the seed capsule in the end of the pencil, which increases the success rate. When the pencil is poured with water, the protective capsule will melt to expose the seed. This new type of pencil can be inserted into the soil, known as the “plant makerâ€, with its corresponding seed name engraved on its sides.
The manufacturer of the "Budding Green Pencil" is De Mokra Technology, which says that these seed pencils will germinate within a week of burying the soil. At the same time, it is warned that if the user splashes water on the pencil or puts it in the mouth, the capsule at the end of the pencil will be dissolved. Unfortunately, this type of pencil can't tell the difference between accidental and intentional watering, so if you accidentally wet the pencil, they will germinate and grow out of the plant.
Michael Stausholm of Democra Chemical Technology Inc. emphasized that the sprouting green pencil was designed by several MIT students and their design was inspired by the “Future Environmental Office†design. We want to create an environmentally friendly product that doesn't attract special attention. Simple pencils are used as a tool to remind people of environmental protection when they use it.
