Among the flexible electronic papers currently released, the 13.3-inch organic TFT driver product developed by Sony has attracted the most attention. The product is a monochrome display, using electronic paper from Taiwan's E Ink Holdings. The pixels are 2130 × 1596, the pixel size is 127μm × 127μm, and the resolution is 200dpi. The aperture ratio is 82%.
TFT is also produced by offset printing method
The semiconductor layer of the organic TFT uses an independently developed organic material called "PXX derivative" (peri-Xanthenoxanthene). The carrier mobility is about 0.5 cm2 / Vs.
The characteristic of the developed product is that the organic TFT is made by printing technology. For each layer of organic TFT, three printing technologies were used: offset printing, spin coating and slit coating. Only the flat offset printing method is used to form the surface protection film. After the pixel electrode was formed by sputtering, a photosensitive resin was formed by planar offset printing. The organic semiconductor layer is formed by a slit coating method, the gate insulating film and the interlayer insulating film are formed by a spin coating method, and then a pattern is formed by ordinary photolithography.
