Yangshuo and the whole of Guilin are typical and strange karst landscapes, where the mountains are high and the mountains are not ups and downs. Most of them are independent peaks. There are many places where rock climbing can be found everywhere. It is no exaggeration to say that you can see any place you can climb in any direction from Yangshuo. The rocky walls there have some joint development and some weathering is serious. However, due to abundant rainfall, the weathering material on the rock wall remains little, and the cracks and pits left behind are strong and clean, especially suitable for climbing, as if it were God. A paradise for rock climbing enthusiasts.
Moon Mountain
Moon Hill is an important attraction in Yangshuo, about 7 kilometers away from the county seat, and it takes more than 10 minutes by truck to reach the foot of the mountain. Before going up the mountain, you have to buy tickets at the entrance of the scenic area. The rock climbing site is at the top of the mountain. There is a stone path leading to the top of the mountain and it takes 20 to 30 minutes.
Moon Hill is the earliest and most attractive natural climbing spot in Yangshuo. The mountains are northeast; southwest, the rock faces where the climbing routes are located face the northwest. There are a total of 14 routes for expanding expansion cones, 8 on the straight wall, 2 on the left and right sides of the Moon Hill arch, and 4 on the transition from the arch to the straight wall with different degrees of elevation
The route of each rock wall is numbered sequentially from the left side of the straight wall and marked with tape at the beginning of the route. The routes 4 and 6 are divided into two pitches. Although the routes are on the same rock wall, the angles, fulcrum sizes, and layouts of each route are different and the styles are different. They allow you to experience the various feelings of rock climbing. If you have enough strength, you can also try some of the most difficult routes in the arch, where you can fully demonstrate your strength, endurance and guts. At the top of the arch, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Yangshuo while resting. Detailed description of each route is shown in the table.
