Recently, the National Key Project of “9th Five-Year Plan†developed by the China Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Science and Technology, which took nearly 10 years, was finally successfully completed and awarded by the Federation of Machinery Industry.
According to Mr. Zhang Zhongnan, head of the Ministry of Agricultural Machinery Science and Technology Department responsible for the project, this project is a combination of domestic and foreign starch processing equipment and technology, with high investment for foreign equipment, low domestic equipment technology, poor matching performance, and low starch extraction rate. The disadvantages of large water consumption, the development of advanced technology, reliable operation, low investment, suitable for China's national conditions of starch processing key technologies and equipment.
The main design goal of this project is to develop a full-cyclone device that can directly treat the broken potato pulp, separate the protein juice water and slag, and obtain starch milk that can be directly dehydrated and dried. It replaces more than 20 sets of equipment such as decanters and centrifugal sieves in the traditional process. The process is simple, the technology is advanced, the starch extraction rate is high, the structure is compact, time saving, power saving, water saving, low operating cost, investment is only imported equipment 1/4 to 1/3. It can directly obtain cell juice and produce functional health drinks. In addition, the device has a small sewage discharge, which reduces the cost of sewage treatment and meets the environmental protection requirements.
According to Mr. Zhang, as an advanced separation technology, the potato starch full-cyclone device has broad application prospects, and is an ideal choice for newly-built, reconstructed or expanded potato plants such as potato, sweet potato, and cassava.
Shanxi Jiali Science and Technology Co., Ltd. has used this technology and equipment in the production of potato starch, which is in good condition and has excellent indicators. Hunan Changde Weichen Co., Ltd. uses the equipment and process for the production of sweet potato starch, which is currently in the stage of installation and commissioning, and about five other users are currently negotiating.
