BarrierGuard special waterproof system is Hyde waterproofing system company in the United States in July 2003 specifically designed for the waterproof surface of various masonry concrete structures, such as: foundation walls, concrete prefabricated panels, retaining walls and fencing ponds, bathroom floors and other places easy to tide. The BarrierGuard is mixed with water and ordinary cement to form a wear-resistant plastic compound, which is then fully cured with a polyester fabric to provide a good heavy-duty system for the balcony. Prepare BarrierGuard, water, and ordinary cement in the following proportions:
1 liter BarrierGuard
1 litre of water 3 kg of white or gray ordinary cement First place the BarrierGuard and water in a clean 5 gallon bucket. Stir at low speed for about 1 minute. Slowly add ordinary cement until homogeneous, non-mud slurries (about 3 minutes). If the temperature is above +27°C, it is recommended to add ice to cool the slurry to prevent premature solidification. BarrierGuard and cement should be stored in a cool place before blending.
Surface preparation of the construction surface prior to construction: Remove loose particles, grease, dirt, dust. Steel surfaces should not have rust, mildew, or oil stains. The surface of the masonry concrete should be wetted with water to prevent it from absorbing too much water from the mud.
Apply a layer of BarrierGuard slurry to the pretreated area during construction, and quickly place the BarrierGuard sewn polyester cloth on the wet paddle. Use a brush to remove air bubbles and wrinkles. Use more paddles. The woven polyester fabric was fully wetted and allowed to dry for one hour. When BarrierGuard was used as a waterproof layer, the width of the woven polyester fabric was about 6 cm.
