Food packaging materials refer to paper, bamboo, wood, metal, enamel, ceramic, plastic, rubber, natural fiber, chemical fiber, glass and other products used for packaging and containing food or food additives, and coatings that directly contact food or food additives. Since food packaging materials are in direct contact with food, Article 33 of the Food Safety Law stipulates: "(7) Food that is directly imported should use non-toxic and clean packaging materials, tableware, drinking utensils and containers." Therefore, it must be To ensure the safety of packaging materials, non-toxic and non-volatile substances, and at the same time, during the implementation of the packaging process, there will be no substances and chemical components that react with food ingredients.
Due to the complexity of the packaging material composition , the substances in the food packaging materials are precipitated and appear in the food, which may be due to the migration of these substances to the food, or appear in the food due to accidental extraction. This causes the chemical migration of food packaging to negatively affect food. Mainly manifested in two aspects:
On the one hand, the migration of harmful substances in synthetic packaging materials into food causes damage to human health ,
On the other hand, migrating substances may cause deterioration of the sensory state of food , such as the generation of odor, color change, and the appearance of stains.
Modern food packaging uses a large number of chemically synthesized substances , which can be generally divided into two categories: known components and unknown components . These substances mainly include :
Monomers of synthetic materials and other synthetic materials, catalysts, solvents and suspension media, additives for packaging materials (including antioxidants, antistatic agents, anti-fogging agents, plasticizers, heat stabilizers, nucleating agents, and dyes and pigments) .

Resin itself is toxic
Toxic monomers, lysates and toxic substances generated by aging in resin
Stabilizers, plasticizers, colorants, etc. added during the manufacturing process
Contamination of microorganisms and fine dust impurities on the surface of the packaging container
Some contaminants and added pigments attached to plastic recycling materials
rubber

Contaminants in papermaking raw materials
  Additive residues added during papermaking
Chemical pollution of packaging paper during wax coating and fluorescent whitening
  Color pigment pollution
Microbial and dust pollution on the surface of finished paper
Inorganic packaging materials
