Usually we use the below material for plastic tray,it included PVC, PET, PP, PS and CPET.
PVC is the most commonly used plastic materials.It very soft, tough and strong, can be made transparent and a variety of colors, commonly used transparent PVC for packaging electronics, cosmetics, toys products.
PET (A-PET) also hard, tough, high strength, bright surface and environmentally friendly.It can be made as transparent and a variety. But PET is hard to be heated in the high frequency ,so the price is much more expensive than PVC, this material often required to use in the high-end products and environmentally friendly product.
PS has some goodness such as small density (light weight), environmental non-toxic, toughness brittle.But it can't be made to transparent.Because of its crack, so this blister shouldn't be recycled ;
PP material is particularly soft, tough and good, environmentally friendly non-toxic, high temperature and often made for food and beverage or other high temperature products' packaging.But it has poor plasticity, and poor surface gloss, and the processing color is very light.
PETG's physical properties is similar to A-PET, but can be heated in the hight temperature,so the price is more expensive than A-PET.
CPET is the most newest material for plastic tray.It can use in microwave,so usually it use in some baking product and some fast food that need to be heat.Also it's wildly use on the airline.
